Below Are a Few Questions From Your Upcoming PSI State Exam:

1. According to OSHA, an injury or illness incident report is required to be stored by an employer for a minimum of how many years?

  • Correct Answer: 5 NASCLA – (end of Chapter 11 at the copies of forms, see Form 301) “According to Public Law 91-596 and 29 CFR 1909, OSHA’s recordkeeping rule, you must keep this form on file for 5 years following the year to which it pertains.”

2. Compare the job estimate to the actual cost of labor. How do they compare?

Estimate: 42 labor hours at $12.50 an hour

Actual: 47 labor hours at $10.75 an hour

  • Correct Answer: $19.75 below the estimate  42 (labor hours) x $12.50 (labor cost per hour) = $525 (estimated labor cost) 47 (labor hours) x $10.75 (labor cost per hour) = $505.25 (actual labor cost) $525 (estimated labor cost) – $505.25 (actual labor cost) = $19.75 below the estimate
